To Teach is to Learn

Ensemble Affect has been privileged to take part as a visiting ensemble to institutes of higher learning. We seek out the opportunity to engage with colleges and universities in order to further EA’s mission: to create opportunities for as many people as possible to experience historical performance, especially if they do not normally have access to it. Oftentimes a particular location will not have a historical ensemble to go hear, or a school will not have a historical performance program for students to learn from.

A residency takes place during a week of the semester and consists of masterclasses, private lessons, talks, and a concert for the student body and general public.
