To mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, Ensemble Affect explores music from America’s colonial period. The program consists of music from composers who emigrated to the colonies from Europe, like Giovanni Gualdo, William Tuckey, and Charles Theodore Pachelbel, and from composers born in the colonies, such as John Antes and John Tufts, all of whom played a pivotal role in shaping the unique musical sound of an infant nation.
This concert features 5th grade students from La Entrada School, reading accounts from and sharing their own knowledge of the American Revolution.
Tickets are $25 for adults and teens 15 and up, free for under!
