To mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, Ensemble Affect explores music from America’s colonial period. The program consists of music from composers who emigrated to the colonies from Europe, like Giovanni Gualdo, William Tuckey, and Charles Theodore Pachelbel, and from composers born in the colonies, such as John Antes and John Tufts, all of whom played a pivotal role in shaping the unique musical sound of an infant nation.
No tickets will be sold, however donations are accepted!
This concert is a “Fringe” performance of the Berkeley Festival and Exhibition, one of dozens taking place during the festival from June 6-14. More information about BFX can be found at their website: https://www.berkeleyfestival.org/
